On March 9-10, Vinnytsia hosted IV All-Ukrainian City Development Institutions Forum “Role and Place of Development Institutions and LED Experts in Fostering Communities’ Economic Development”.

Participants of the event were 90 representatives of local development organizations, Ukrainian and international experts. The Local Economic Development Ggency of Yavoriv District was represented by Orest Mykyta,Head of the Agency.

Participants had a chance to discuss many interesting topics during the sessions. The first session was dedicated to successful planning of territorial economic development. The second session dealt with small and medium business development, while the third session tackled investment attraction.

According tо the Oleksandr Kucherenko, Director of the PLEDDG Project, Vinnytsia was not accidentally chosen as the venue for the Forum. “Vinnytsia is one of the 16 partner municipalities of the project, but for us it is also the city where we plan to test the most complex, most modern and effective methods of developing local democracy, economic development and stimulating the development of small and medium businesses. In addition, we will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the best practices of the city of Vinnytsia and with those ideas that have already been introduced here, “said Oleksandr Kucherenko.

Within the framework of the Forum, the participants took part for plenary sessions, work in thematic sections and familiarization with concrete examples of implementation of development projects in the city of Vinnytsia.
