The team of Yavoriv Local Economy Development Agency participated in training on basic mediation skills for future regional partners organized by the Institute of Peace and Common Ground with support of the Swiss Confederation in Kyiv. 

During the 5-day training community activists from 11 regions of Ukraine mastered the art of dialogue and psychological specificity of people`s behavior in conflict situations.

Within the initiative partners will join the network of platforms for peaceful conflict resolution. Platform for peaceful conflict resolution is a confidential meeting of people with the opposition ideological views, religions and social groups, where they can conduct dialogue and try to hear each other.

Peace in Ukraine- priority on the agenda of politicians, civil society activists and concerned citizens. Peace it is not just the absence of war. Peace it is a recognition of diversity and respect, is the right to be themselves and express their views freely. Ukraine faces a key challenge – reconciliation within communities and dialogue between people with opposing worldviews and positions. The future of Ukraine depends on whether it works mechanisms to overcome the divisive factors which are generated by the war and its consequences.

As a result of the training, eight regional partners were selected to implement Ukraine Peace and Reconciliation Initiative.
