Creating suitable conditions for enterprise development in borderland areas of Poland and Ukraine

Under the Cross Border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007-2013 it was approved for funding and implementing the project “Enterprise development through making investment areas of the Municipality of Lubaczуw accessible  and the recultivation of degraded areas of  Yavoriv and Novyi Rozdil districts” from December, 2013.

THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT IS: Creating suitable conditions for enterprise development in borderland areas of Poland and Ukraine.

Specific objectives:
1) Making the investment areas of the Municipality and Gmina of Lubaczуw attractive and accessible through building and modernization of technical and communication infrastucture.
2) Making the investment areas of Yavoriv Raion and the Town of Novyi Rozdil accessible through recultivation of post-industrial (sulphur) areas
3) Stimulating enterprise development in borderland areas by producing enterprise development policy and other relevant documents and setting up and building capacity of the enterprise development institutions.

It’s also supposed to develop the project of construction and development of industrial park on recultivated areas of SE “Sirka” in Yavoriv district of Lviv region. The main its advantage is a close location to the borders of Ukraine and the European Union (“Krakovets–Korczowa”, “Hrushiv–Budomierz” and “Rava-Ruska–Hrebenne”) and the presence of customs checkpoints on the international highway M10 and highway E372. The object’s location allows to completely provide it with all necessary infrastructure for its production activity (drinking water, technical water, sewage, electricity, gas, recycling of industrial waste), as well as with convenient transport links (road and rail routes). The initiator of the project is Yavoriv district council and the projected facility will be located on 2 plots of land with a total area of 40 hectares, handed over to the Council of 25 December 2013.
