A seminar on Practical aspects of decentralization and the formation of capable communities took place in Yavoriv

On March 23-24, 2017, a two-day seminar “Practical Aspects of Decentralization and Capacity Building” was held in Yavoriv, for representatives of communities, especially those who held the first elections last December, and NGOs of Lviv Region.

Particular attention was paid to the possibilities for a reasonable growth of communities. Anatoliy TKACHUK, director of science and development at the Institute of Civil Society, emphasized that communities – as qualitatively new institutions – can become “brain centers” of local and regional development.

The seminar was held within the framework of the project “Support to Local Self-Government Reform in Ukraine” with the financial support of the European Union.
